Who is Semmtech?

Semmtech is the partner for consulting and tech services, specializing in information and data management. We offer consulting and solutions ranging from data strategy and IT architecture to scripting, data engineering and data modeling. Our clients are primarily in industries working on major societal challenges, such as energy transition, infrastructure development and construction. We also serve industries developing complex products, such as hydrogen production and transportation, shipbuilding and aerospace.

What are my responsibilities?

As a consultant, you will be part of a diverse team, both international and from different backgrounds, working together on challenges for our clients. In addition, you may contribute to the improvement of our products and services through internal projects. Some of the activities of a consultant include:

• Systems Analysis: Analyze and understand system architecture and data/information flows to identify optimization opportunities.
• Customer consulting: Provide expert advice to customers on information models and improve their asset data capabilities.
• Implementation of tools: Implement and configure tooling and data flows to support efficient business operations.
• Process Transformation: Transform and optimize information and data processing practices for improved performance and scalability, for example, how customers and their stakeholders share information across the value chain and what capabilities are needed to do so.
• Training and development: Provide comprehensive training on tools and processes to ensure effective use and adoption.
• Project and stakeholder management: Manage projects effectively and communicate with stakeholders to align expectations and deliver results.
• Technology research: Research new technologies and develop innovative business propositions to stay ahead in the industry.

What does our ideal candidate look like?

At Semmtech, we pride ourselves on our diversity; no two consultants are alike. Many of the technical skills you need as a consultant can be learned, but as a consultant at Semmtech, you must have a natural affinity for IT, be curious, and be intrinsically motivated to solve problems! We encourage you to apply if you recognize yourself in (most of) the skills below!

• Educational background: At least a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or Business Administration field. However, another discipline complemented by relevant work experience may also be a good fit.
• Language skills: Fluent in both Dutch and English, allowing you to communicate effectively in various teams.
• Experience level: 0-6 years of work experience, with a strong foundation in analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Analytical skills: Analytically strong, enjoys solving problems and loves challenges.
• Mindset: Curious, open-minded and driven to contribute to a growing organization.
• Tech enthusiasm: Passionate about new technologies, data science, data management and using software to deliver value.
• Beneficial: Experience in management or IT consulting, or experience in one of our core capabilities (i.e. Linked Data, data management, data modelling, or data engineering).
